Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist

Job description

Requirements:

• A Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an operations and monitoring specialist


• Proven experience working with AWS cloud services, including ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC, Lambda, Cloudwatch


• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch


• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls, as they relate to cloud environments


• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting languages such as Python or Bash


• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and application performance

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage monitoring solutions for our cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config


• Develop and configure custom monitoring metrics, alerts, and dashboards to track the health, availability, and performance of various AWS resources


• Collaborate with the engineering and DevOps teams to define and implement best practices for monitoring and alerting across the entire cloud environment


• Perform regular system and resource utilization analysis to identify performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and potential security vulnerabilities


• Investigate and troubleshoot any reported issues related to infrastructure performance, stability, or availability


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve incident response
  processes, ensuring timely resolution of incidents


• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team, assisting in their professional growth and development
