We are looking for a dynamic digital copywriter with social media writing experience on lifestyle brands. The role is very site-specific and Cape Town-based and due to the nature of the work, it is not possible to fulfil this function remotely. There will be a lot of interaction with clients and members of the public and the role will thus suit someone with a people-loving, outgoing personality with high EQ and well-honed people skills.

 The job will cover a combination of the following:

• Following up any requests pertaining to communication
• Preparing for and attending status meetings
• Constantly seeking fresh communication ideas and angles
• Conceptualising, researching, fact-checking and writing social media copy for in-feed posts, stories and reels, and some blogs
• Preparing monthly reports on all activities undertaken
• Briefing, liaising and managing third party suppliers such as photographers, videographers and designers
• Assist in the preparation of strategic and tactical plans
• Ensure that deliverables agreed to with clients are addressed and achieved
• Generally act in a manner and with an attitude befitting the culture and status of the business
• Attend client functions as and when required. This will be a regular occurrence.
• Develop and maintain a working relationship with all members of the internal team and client team.

Skills:

• Working experience on paid and organic content for recognised brands on channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Awareness of Threads
• Diploma or degree in digital media, media or communications 
• 2-5 years experience within a media or public relations agency
• Computer literacy in all Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Photoshop 
• Canva
• Own transport (and valid driver's licence) required
• Own laptop or computer
• Own mobile smart device
• Knowledge of wordpress website and content management
