Role and responsibilities:
Assist in reconciling balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies
Provide support in handling various ad-hoc financial tasks efficiently and effectively
Help maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking and management of valuable assets
Collaborate in conducting weekly and monthly stock takes for consumables and stationery, ensuring optimal inventory control
Take charge of filing and administrative duties, ensuring meticulous organisation of financial documents and records
Support the coordination of team meetings and external meetings, assisting with preparations and documentation
Assist the finance team in meeting reporting deadlines by completing various finance-related tasks
Requirements:
SAICA/ SAIPA qualification required
Partially qualified/Diploma
Familiarity with accounting frameworks
Able to follow clear instructions
Able to work under pressure and with deadlines
Self-starter and independent work ethic
Professional outlook to the work
Proficiency in excel
Good time management skills
Knowledge of Sage 200 will be advantageous
Knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of the media industry is advantageous
Great attention to detail
Analytical acumen
Being accountable for your own work and being a custodian of your work
