Implement effective sales strategies and actively measure milestones as the next internal sales telesales team leader sought by a fast-growing logistics and e-commerce company in Joburg. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing the performance of telesales representatives. As a telesales team leader, you should be able to address any customer queries and handle complaints. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain long-term customer relations. The successful candidate will require three years sales/industry-related work experience, one year in a leadership position with strong selling, negotiation, networking and people skills. Your ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations will be a plus.

Duties:

• Recruit and train telesales representatives.
• Assist in the development of effective sales strategies.
• Implement and monitor the performance of sales strategies.
• Analyse the performance of the Telesales team members.
• Prepare and set monthly and weekly sales targets and focus areas.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relations.
• Address any customer queries and complaints.
• Maintain an updated record of all important customer information in the database.
• Assist in developing sales scripts.
• Record sales calls and meetings details for future reference.
• Keep a track of KPIs.
• Take up any urgent requests or queries in a timely manner.
• Interdepartmental liaison and assistance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years’ sales/industry related work experience.
• Minimum of one years’ leadership role in relevant position.
• Excellent selling and negotiating skills.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
• Strong people skills.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Good physical health / able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible approach to working hours with a willingness and ability to respond to needs outside ‘office hours’ during the early morning, evenings and weekends.
• Multilingual ability advantageous.
• Own transport.
